Ajay Walia, an accomplished finance executive from J.P. Morgan and Deloitte, transformed into a renowned Bay Area restaurateur. In 2003, he launched Saffron Indian Bistro in San Carlos, establishing it as a landmark for North Indian cuisine. His innovative vision led to RASA in 2014, which earned a coveted Michelin star through exceptional culinary execution. Now CEO of Amara alongside founder Reena Miglani, Walia's hospitality expertise continues shaping Northern California's dining landscape.
Reena Miglani: Founder/Chief of Growth
Reena Miglani, a seasoned finance and tech executive with a 20-year career in Silicon Valley, brings her business acumen to the hospitality sector. After advising the successful Saffron restaurants, including the Michelin-starred RASA, Miglani launched Amara in San Francisco, an elevated Mediterranean dining destination. As founder of First New York with daughter Nikita Walia, she curates modern heirlooms. Her expertise guides restaurant operations and brand development across the Bay Area.
